Exodus Good shepherd ministries Day Care Centre, Chattisgarh:

Children are the future of any nation.

In the state of Orissa, we run institutions called Day Care Centers. Orissa is a state where the population is very poor. Because of poverty, many children drop out of school at tender ages. At Day Care Centers, we encourage children to go back to school by providing the necessary prerequisites. In a typical Day care centre, there are about 60 to 70 kids, mostly below the age of 10. They arrive at the centre at about 7am in the morning. The teachers in the day care centre give them tuition for about 2 hours. Then they are given a nutritious breakfast and sent to a regular school.

In the evening at about 4 o’clock when the school time is over, the children come back to the Day Care centre for another 2 hours which they spend in games etc. They are given dinner and then they leave for their homes to return on the morning of the next day. There are regular Sunday school classes and praise and worship sessions for these children.
